As spring broke across campus, Legacy Students were welcomed to the home of Vice President John Saddlemire and his wife Marie in late March. The informal gathering was another opportunity for students to meet with the University’s senior administrators and to get to know them in a more relaxed setting. Conversations ranged from the current economic climate and its effect on the University to possible changes in the academic calendar and, of course, the progress of our men’s and women’s basketball teams in the NCAA tournament. With such a wide range of topics, comments, opinions, and questions remained both very thoughtful and positive. The Legacy Students left appreciative of the warmth and hospitality of John and Marie, as well as confident in the support and leadership of our senior administration.
