Leadership Legacy Experience

Riding the Rapids

On a chilly October Sunday morning, twenty-five Legacy Students and Mentors took a trip to Deerfield, Massachusetts for a whitewater rafting adventure on the Deerfield River. Accompanied by trained river guides, the river tested and challenged the leadership skills of Legacy Students and Mentors alike. The experience also allowed students and mentors to spend quality time together, completely separated from the normal distractions of daily life. Although the experience for some occasionally came with an unexpected dip in the river, students and mentors agreed that everyone learned great lessons about themselves, each other, decision making, and risk taking. Overall, all participants agreed that the rafting trip was an unforgettable component to the Legacy Experience.
