Leadership Legacy Experience

Legacy Alumni Mentors

One of the most unique aspects of the University of Connecticut Leadership Legacy Experience is the role of Alumni Mentors. Alumni Mentors volunteer their time attending events, meeting and corresponding with their Legacy students, and supporting them throughout the year-long experience. Alumni Mentors help, guide, and interact with Legacy Students at Legacy sponsored events, through correspondence, and through one-on-one visits – on- and off-campus.

Alumni Mentors allow Legacy Students to develop networking relationships with a University alumnus who share a connection to the University. Mentors share their experiences and life-lessons while helping the Legacy Students prepare for a life of leadership beyond UConn. Alumni Mentors play an important role in helping Legacy Students successfully bridge their college experiences to their future beyond graduation.

Through their support of the Legacy Experience, and more importantly their work with Legacy Students, the Legacy Alumni Mentors represent the best of what the University of Connecticut has to offer.
