Juan CarmonaFall 07/Spring 08Fall 08/Spring 09 Juan is a fifth semester Resource Economics major, Business Administration minor. He works for the Department of Residential Life as a Community Assistant and for the Lodewick Visitors Center as a Tour Guide. Aside from HOLDUP! he is involved in the Leadership Legacy Experience, the Husky Ambassador Program, the UConn DanceSport Team, and the First Year Experience Mentoring Program.
Cristin CaparottaSpring 09Cristin is a second semester Human Development and Family Studies major, who plans to become a counselor. She is a member of the Honors Council, Husky Ambassador Program, and the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. Cristin also participates in UConn Ballroom Dance.
Lauren CollinSpring 08Fall 08/Spring 09 Lauren is a third semester Biological Sciences major, with the hopes of going to medical school. Lauren is an active member of the Pre-Med Society and enjoys volunteering at a local elderly home.
Courtney ColoneseFall 07Fall 08/Spring 09 Courtney is a 5th semester American Studies and Spanish double major. She is a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and plans to go to law school after finishing her undergraduate studies here at UConn.
Alexa CombelicFall 07/Spring 08Fall 08/Spring 09 Alexa is a fifth semester Political Science and History major. Besides HOLDUP!, Alexa is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority which allows her to partake in community activities to support early breast cancer detection and promote child literacy. She is also a member of the College Democrats and enjoys being politically active on campus.
Mike CroninFall 07/Spring 08Mike is a junior, from the Bronx, NY, majoring in History with a minor in Business. Besides HOLDUP!, Mike is involved in the USG Funding Board, Mock Trial Team, Multicultural Business Club, and Youth Ministry. He also works as a handicapped van driver for UConn Transportation's Accessible Van service, enjoys sports, technology, and cooking.
Natalie CullenFall 07/Spring 08Fall 08/Spring 09 Natalie was born and raised in Southern California. She is a junior studying Sociology and is planning to studying law. She devotes most of her time to HOLDUP! but still finds time to work two jobs, as a supervisor at the UC Cafes and as Nursery Director at Storrs Congregational Church.
Marilyn GouldSpring 08Fall 08/Spring 09 Marilyn is currently a sophomore majoring in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and hoping to minor in both Geology and Wildlife Conservation. In her spare time she enjoys reading, horseback riding, and listening to music.
Sarah HarrisSpring 09Sarah is a second semester Pre-Teaching Major. Besides HOLDUP, Sarah is involved in a number of other organizations on campus. She serves as a student member of the Honors Board of Associate Directors and is involved in the Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Services Student Ambassadors and the Honors Council. Sarah enjoys volunteering with the UConn America Reads at a local elementary school and, after graduation, hopes to teach Secondary Social Studies.
Ashley HazletonSpring 09Ashley is a forth semester Physiology and Neurobiology major with hopes of attending medical school. She is also part of one of the co-ed a cappella groups here on campus, Extreme Measures. Besides HOLDUP! Ashley is looking into doing more volunteering and Community Outreach opportunities.>
Simone HerdtFall 07, Fall 08/Spring 09Simone is in the UConn Business School as a Health Care Management major and has a minor in French. She studied abroad in Paris, France in Spring 2008. In addition to HOLDUP! she is an active member of the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma where she participates in many philanthropic events. She also served as Assistant Program Director for Community Outreach's Generations Family Health Center Program during Fall 2008, and is currently a member of the Health Care Management Society.
Amy HollandSpring 09Amy is a sophomore Psychology and HDFS major who looks forward to applying her love of the study of people to the rest of her undergraduate experience and into graduate school. She works at Career Services as a Career Resource Assistant, working especially with the Explore program, and is an Honors FYE facilitator. She stays busy with a variety of groups on campus including Active Minds, Honors Council, and the Husky Ambassador Program.
Kyleen KolomickFall 07/Spring 08Fall 08/Spring 09 Kyleen is a senior Psychology major. Besides her studies and HOLDUP!, she has dedicated her time to the Catholic Church on campus in a variety of ways. She is the co-president of Tom’s Leadership Council and sings in the church choir. After UConn, Kyleen hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology.
Aycha KurtogluSpring 08Fall 08/Spring 09 Aycha is majoring in Accounting in the University of Connecticut's School of Business. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (Sigma Alpha Pi) and the Multicultural Business Club. Aycha also works at the Center of Undergraduate Education and enjoys riding horses at UConn.
Andrea LamaFall 07/Spring 08Fall 08 Andrea is an International Business Management major and is active in the Leadership Office at UConn. She works as the Student Organization Peer Advisor during the school year and as an intern at GE over the summer. She likes playing video games and sewing.
Tiffany MarrowSpring 09Tiffany is a fourth semester Sociology/Psychology double major,Criminal Justice minor. She plans to become a homicide detective after she graduates and further go on to Med School to become a Medical Examiner. She actively works for the H. Fred Simmons African American Cultural Center and dances with the newly founded dance group Pivotal Motion.
Jen O'NeillFall 07/Spring 08Spring 09 Jen is complementing her academics with the positions of Community Assistant and Peer Educator at the Alcohol and Other Drugs Office. In addition to HOLDUP! she is also a UConn Connects facilitator and a Husky Ambassador. After graduation, Jen plans to get her Master's Degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs.
Edwin NgFall 07/Spring 08Edwin is a fifth semester Economics major and International Studies minor. He is actively involved with a number of organizations on campus other than HOLDUP! including Delta Sigma Pi, Husky WOW, Husky Ambassador Program, Multicultural Business Club, ChinaCare, and the Asian Mentoring Program.
Stephen PelletierSpring 09Stephen is a second semester Public Policy major, Religion Minor. He works at the Neag School of Education as a student worker and he just finished an internship with Courtney for Congress. Aside from HOLDUP! he is involved in the Leadership Community, Amnesty International and College Democrats and UConn for Youth in Politics. He also enjoys volunteering at a local elementary school.
Doug SandsFall 07/Spring 08Fall 08 Doug is a fifth semester Philosophy and Political Science double major. In addition to HOLDUP!, Doug is a Community assistant and plans on attending graduate school. Doug is also an avid golfer and skier.
Andrew SullivanSpring 09Andrew is a 4th semester Health Care Management and Economics major. He is an active brother of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity where he is the Special Events Chairman. Outside of HOLDUP!, Andrew is a member of the IFC Standards Board, Health Care Management Society, FYE Mentoring Program, and a UConn Connects Facilitator. After UConn, Andrew plans on getting a masters degree in Business Administration and Public Health. |
