Community Service Days

How to Sign Up Your Group

Student groups (organizations, classes, etc.) interested in signing up for a Community Service Day site should contact the Community Service Days Coordinator, Katherine Perduta, at uconncsds@yahoo.com.

Student Organizations are required to adhere to the following procedures when signing up for a Community Service Day site:

  • A representative from the student group must meet with a staff member from Community Outreach to discuss the group’s service-related needs and interests.
  • The group representative is responsible for providing Community Outreach with necessary information on each participating group member. This information will be used for registration purposes only.
  • Prior to the day of the service project, group members will be contacted by their designated Team Leader. In preparation for the service project, all participating group members are responsible for communicating with their Team Leader.
  • Additional registration procedures may be required.

Important Note:Each service project is unique and requires only certain number of volunteers; therefore available Community Service Day sites may not be able to accommodate the size of your group. In such cases, Community Outreach will work with you to find an alternative service-related project that meets the needs and interests of your group. However, Community Outreach may not be able to provide a Team Leader or transportation to and from the site in these instances.
