The weather is changing, so are the leaves. I actually had to close the window in my room it’s so cold at night. But it’s nice to wear sweatshirts and long pants. I like the slightly chilly weather. With the changing weather also means that school is in full swing, I’ve had my first few quizzes and midterms are about a week away. SUBOG is picking up as well; last week was crazy! We had a program everyday from Tuesday to Sunday, sometimes two in one day. But they all went awesome. Female Orgasm packed the SU Theatre, James Mapes delighted Jorgensen, the Conn Carnival was a huge hit (especially mini golf). The comedian Japer Redd got a great response from the audience, Grilling with Mike was so much fun, the free wings were delish, State Radio filled the SU Mall with over 2,000 fans and the Drive-In Movie went beautifully. SUBOG is settling in to the groove, the board members are doing a great job with their events and committees. There haven’t been any major problems with our events, at least nothing that we couldn’t handle. The next major program I’m in charge of is the Family Weekend novelties. Hopefully we’ll draw a crowd of parents wanting to get pictures with their kids. Other than the novelties, Family Weekend is looking pretty strong with Jim Gaffigan having already sold out and Wayne Hoffman is super cool, so it should be a fun weekend for everyone at UConn. |
